GRAND PIANOS

For most people, owning a grand piano would be like having a dream come true, irrespective of whether they were actually able to play it or not! A grand piano carries immense status and has an overwelming appeal to people young and old, the world over. From a performance point of view, the power and depth in tone of a grand piano is a delight. Consequently, it has inspired composers and songwriters from all musical styles and backgrounds over the last 250 years. Beethoven is often considered to have exerted a key influence on the development of the grand piano.

Over the years, thousands of grands have been produced and, even now, many that are over a 100 years old are still being played to the satisfaction of their owners. However, piano manufacturers have constantly been improving their approaches and techniques. The grand piano business has changed a lot in recent years, particularly since the introduction of smaller grands that can perform really well. The Far-Eastern manufacturers have cornered the market place not only with their exceptional build-quality and relability, but also because of their affordability.

Illustrated below are some grand pianos that I'm happy to recommend, but I do of course urge you to vist my piano shop to see hear and play them for yourself. A musical instrument simply cannot be experienced over the internet and I would be misleading you if I said it could. So I look forward to meeting you very soon ...
