For most beginners, buying a piano can be a little bit daunting. After all, it's not something you have ever done before. Over the years, customers have told me that, in many piano shops, they have been made to feel quite uncomfortable when they have tried to ask questions and they have become frightened of sounding stupid. Sellers sometimes like to parade their knowledge in front of potential customers, and by wrongly assuming that everyone who comes through the door has a good basic understanding of pianos, they end up blinding their customers with science.

I can promise you that it is really not like that when you visit The PianoMan. Please feel free to ask me anything you want and I promise to offer you helpful, genuine and impartial advice.


Illustrated below are some pianos that I am happy to recommend, but I do of course urge you to visit my piano shop to see, hear and play them for yourself.
